This is an example page. It differs from a post because it is in a fixed place and is displayed in your site navigation (in most themes). Many people start with an About page to introduce themselves to site visitors. It can say something like this:

...or something like this:
The XYZ association was founded in 1971 and delivers quality to its members. Since its foundation, the association has had over 1000 members, many of whom take on volunteer tasks to keep XYZ in existence.
As a new WordPress user, go to your dashboard to delete this page and create new pages for your site. Have fun!
