In other words: Acato
Acato is a school for young people with autism who have not yet found their niche.
If you are still enrolled at a pre-university or pre-university school, we will look together with you at how we can lead you back to school. We will only do this if you are ready, and we are sure that you will be able to enjoy your time at the school again.
At Acato, you choose your own route and learn in a safe atmosphere. Acato is a small school where you can quickly feel at home, there is a warm and homely atmosphere. You have your own workspace that you can furnish. We work in groups of no more than 4 students with a supervisor. Together with you, we determine what you will develop in. At the moment, there are cooking, drawing and piano lessons, for example, as well as Photoshop, sewing and arithmetic lessons. We are also working on a film project and we play sports regularly. There are also students who are in the process of obtaining a secondary school diploma, for example in mathematics.
At Acato, you can be yourself. Together, we will look at what you like to do and how you can develop this further. Your talents and your wishes - that is what we are all about.
We believe that everyone has their own talents and that it is possible for these to flourish in a school environment.

Maybe you like drawing, then you can take several drawing lessons with us. Or maybe you are interested in computers, in which case we can teach you how to programme or develop websites. Or maybe you want to get your diploma, in which case we can offer you guidance in the subjects you need. Do you have your own educational programme that you follow at another (regular) school? Then Acato can be a place where you can do your lessons and assignments, in the company of others and with guidance if you need it.
We can also offer new activities in the short term and invite you to challenge us in this.
